Australian entertainer arrested in Jimmy Savile case
No names or hints at names please.
We will wait until the local press are prepared to be more explicit, which they currently are not.
(I'll be crushed if its true)

Obviously the details will be foggy for now, but does anyone know what this means?

Huh? So what is he being accused of, exactly? Is there some suggestion that Savile was part of some crime ring? The 82-year-old, who was not named by police, is in the last category, which ''is generally people who were in the public spotlight at around that time'', the spokesman said.
The Metropolitan Police will not name the man involved unless he is charged.
Police stressed the arrest was not connected to the specific allegations made against Savile.

Since Nov last year I've being hearing the same spiel from folks in the UK. If you don't mind, can you elaborate why you'd be crushed?WhyPhilWhy? wrote: (I'll be crushed if its true)
The "pensioner"? What a laugh. The pensioner from Berkshire, west of London, is one of 11 people arrested so far under Operation Yewtree, which is investigating people linked to Savile.

I wholeheartedly agee. What's the world coming to. Rocks the foundations from it's slabs. I'm disturbingly touched by the whole affair.Tannin wrote:This mania has gone too far. Is nothing to be left untouched and decent?
Next it'll be Mr Squiggle & Joffa boy on kiddie touching charges , that will shatter my childhood illusions.
Oh pour me a stiff glass of marchants or tarax lemonade because it's sparkarlarklearkling (at least that's what the man in the overcoat told me)

Difficult to do so without giving the game away - lets just say, IF TRUE, its unpleasant to have fond childhood memories crushed.EBB wrote:If you don't mind, can you elaborate why you'd be crushed?
