Melbourne Stars (un)botched membership.

Post by Presti35 »

Dont know if anyone here will be affected, the Stars have offered a 6 game flexi pass due to the club playing home games in Queensland and Moe.

However its been revealed that this is not considered a membership to the club and those that have purchased this will bot be given a membership pack or have a membership card.

Those who paid the early bird price of $90 would have been given their game passes via email some time this week. Many have been surprised as its been revealed that its single game passes and not an actual membership.

What it means is that you can use all 6 barcodes at one game or one over 6 games.

To buy this you have to go into the membership section of the Stars webpage. 2 months ago, it was advertised as a 6 game access membership to games in Melbourne.

Now, after a redesign of the website, its been revealed that you will not have access to the away game at Marvel. You will not have access to the "home" games in QLD or Moe. And you will not be given any membership pack or have any membership benefits.

Naturally, there's been a few complaints that the Stars FB team manage to remove or hide. Or they get buried after the comments left after the teams performance the other night.

So there's a lot of confusion going on as people are waiting for membership packs that are not going to show up.

I think the main thing is that people that have purchased the flexi pass want to be considered a member and treated like a member. I mean you may as well buy your tickets at the gate otherwise.

What makes you think that I won't have access to the home games in QLD or Moe.

They've fixed the problem. People that purchased the flexi pass have now been given the option to have it changed to GA at no additional cost.

No.

The following membership departments are:

Melbourne Ice
Melbourne Mustangs
Melbourne Vixens
Melbourne Renegades
Melbourne Victory
Melbourne Storm
Melbourne United
Melbourne Demons
Melbourne City
Bentleigh Greens
Melbourne Boomers
Melbourne Bitter
Collingwood
Collingwood VFL
Collingwood Netball
Collingwood AFLW
Collingwood VFLW
And the Melbourne Cup.

The team that works for the Melbourne Star, not to be confused with the Melbourne Stars is also on holiday. They should really do something about the name to avoid confusion.

I'll send an email with the suggestion "Melbourne Wheel".
