Tuffers admits to being "disappointed" with the way spin has been handled by BBL batsmen. He may be being polite... Are batsmen this befuddled in the IPL?
I have to look for replays, preferable zoomed in and slo-mo, to see exactly what happened with the incident with the dropped catch and the ball whacking the fielder's face, etc.
It seemed to miss almost entirely Cutting's hands and whack him between the eyes. I'm not sure if that had any part in the dropping/throwing of the ball later in H. Gibbs style. Not out was the cricket verdict. Five stitches (but nothing major besides) was the medical verdict.
Adelaide Strikers 5-178 (Ingram 57, Head 43, Wells 32*, Plunkett 4-36) defeated Melbourne Stars 137 (Gulbis 37; Laughlin 3-19, O'Connor 2-24) by 41 runs. The Strikers moved up to second, on the ladder.
