A bloke I played cricket with was duty driver for years at the Australian open. his favourite passengers were Sabatini and Graf and Jim Courier. He said by far the rudest and most demanding were the Willimas sisters, so much so that the organisers told them no one wanted to drive them and these people were unpaid volunteers and and they were welcome to approach a private service at their expense.

Axeman took Sabatini and Graf to Healesville sanctuary and he told them before he left their shared apartment that he had to pick up his 13 year old daughter to take to tennis practice in East Ringwood about 4.00 pm so they could only stay till 3.00. No problem and they went back in and grabbed a kit bag and racquets etc . Went to a cafe in Healesville for morning tea and then on to the sanctuary. They had the ususl photos taken cuddling koalas etc and petting injured joeys and the girls were given a whole heap of gifts but they insisted on paying for them and sponsored a couple of baby animals that were renamed Gaby and Steffi. Axe took them back to his house to pickup his daughter and her friend and they were astonished when they saw the passengers.

The 2 babes asked if they could have a practice hit and would give the juniors a few group lessons if that was ok and signed posters and shirts whatever. Then they had an hour practice. They fortunately chose the court nearest the cricket ground and our practice sessions came to an abrupt halt as we all sat on the grass perving at them practicing in shorts and T shirts. We opened the bar and brought out some eskies and beers as the coach gave up. Then they had a group photo taken with the tennis players and they bpth signed and donated a racquet to the club.

Jim Courier bought some weights and when he won the Open he donated them to the fire station that Axeman was a firey in.

Warner was the best player in the IPL this season by a considerable margin and has just peeled off another player of the match performance for Australia in his first official outing since returning to the team. He gets to be as smug as he wants. Second best batsmen in the team, behind only our best-performed batsman since Bradman.

Really, anyone would think that Australia was the only team that had ever engaged in ball-tampering. It happens frequently and it isn't usually Australia that does it - for some bizarre reason, our blokes were penalised.
