At 2/76 (21), cricinfo predicts Afghanistan 77%.

They progress to 2/91 (25).

After 26 overs, cricinfo predicts Afghanistan 83%.

Kane Williamson 99* after 37 overs.
Next over, he gets there. 103* (124) & centuries B2B.
Williamson so far has been dismissed only once this WC.

But are NZ batting too slowly? WI have injury concerns.

Cottrell almost gets Williamson! The umpires went to the TV review, which showed that Hope did not complete the diving catch behind.

Williamson hits the next ball for 4! Two balls later, he slog sweeps the slower ball for 6. That is the same shot to the slower ball he used to tie scores in the final over against S. Africa, which virtually guaranteed victory!

Williamson is closing in on 150. His SR is getting up towards a run a ball.

Cottrell finally gets Williamson, who misses out on 150.
Williamson 148 (154). This innings was similar to Warner's 150. Slow at first, but fast at the end, after hanging in.

NZ 5/251 (46.3). C de Grandhomme comes in. He played a very important innings against S. Africa. Can he nail some 6s?

CdG smokes a 6 off the last ball of the 48th over.
He is then run out by Cottrell (who else?) off the first ball of the 49th over.
This is like a replay (not exact) of his run outs late against Oz.

NZ 6/270 (48.1).

At the start, the broadcast predictor said 309. They won't get there now.

Cottrell finishes with 4/56 (10). His two early strikes set the tone for the NZ innings.

Brathwaite bowls the final over. Santner repeats the CdG act: he smokes a 6 off the 4th ball and then is out the next ball. It's caught by (who else?) Cottrell, who is WI's talisman.

NZ 7/291 (49.5).

Last ball, repeat... Wicket, Neesham this time, caught by Cottrell.

NZ finish on 8/291 (50).
Williamson's 148 (154) balanced out Cottrell's 4 wickets, 2 catches & 1 run out.

Odds at change of innings: WI 38%, NZ 62%.

Afghanistan 5/157 (40).

They're not out of it yet! 68 runs needed from 60 balls.
Bumrah is the key bowler. He has 3 overs left.

cricinfo forecasts Afghanistan 54%.

Odds: India 55%, Afghanistan 45%.
...................................................

They take 8 runs from the 41st over.

cricinfo forecasts Afghanistan 60%.

But Pandya gets Najibullah in the 42nd over.

Afghanistan 6/166 (41.3). Rashid Khan will be next in. Expect him to get quick runs or get out. He's also injured.

cricinfo's forecast drops from 56% to 41% for Afghanistan.

At the end of 43 overs, cricinfo forecasts Afghanistan 38%.

Afghanistan have only 4 wickets left. Bumrah still has two overs left after the 44th over, so they'll have to target the other end.

Nabi hits Shami's first ball of the 45th over for 4. They'll need a few more of those.

6/185 (40). Eight an over needed from here.

Bumrah bowls the 47th over.

Second ball, India miss a run out, as Nabi desperately steals the strike.

Third ball, Nabi hits Bumrah for 6! That'll help. Commentators say they could just play out the rest of Bumrah's over now.

Nabi gets a single off the last ball to keep the strike.

-----------------------------------------------------------

In the other game, Hope plays on to his stumps.
WI 1/3 (2.4).
