First ball, Archer pitches up wide of off and Finch cover-drives for 4.
That was slightly more convincing than his first 4.

Conditions are overcast. Earlier reports said there was a 40% chance of rain on the day.

Oz 0/11 (2). Finch has had almost all the strike so far. Warner is yet to get off the mark.

Scratchy over from Warner, facing Woakes.
A play and miss early, and a 2 played in the air last ball.

Oz 0/13 (3).

--------------

But Warner hooks the last ball of Archer's next over for 4.

Oz 0/18 (4).

--------------

And Finch does the same second ball of Woakes's next over.

Are Archer & Woakes bowling a bit too short? It looks like there are edges waiting to be found from fuller balls.

Now Finch's bat is busted.

The broadcast shows us that 28% of England's balls have been short.

Finch is dropped by Vince jumping up with his right hand off the bowling of Archer.

Oz 0/26 (6).

Line: 293.5.

--------------

Big appeal for LBW first ball of the next over. Not out. They review immediately!
It's the standard Finch dismissal mode.

No edge. Umpire's call! Not out, but they keep their review.
That was close! Finch is riding his luck here.

But he gets off strike and Warner lofts a drive for 4... and is split in two next ball. Not out again.
No review. Off the thigh, it looks. Yes, snicko confirms no nick.

0/32 (7). Foakes mutters something, maybe an obscenity.

Odds: England 55%, Oz 45%.
Line: 295.5.

Stokes bowls Khawaja. Well, it's a wicket but not the most valuable one. If Oz get bowled out, they'll regret this wicket, but otherwise...

Oz 2/173 (32.2). Smith in.

Nasser Hussain agrees with my earlier thought that England have been bowling too short.

Odds: England 47%, Oz 53%.

Oz are getting a bit bogged down, with Finch in the 90s, Smith just in, and Archer brought back.

When is the best time for Maxwell to come in? Maybe over 42?

At 2/179 (34.2), the broadcast predictor says 315.

Straight after drinks, with Finch 98*, there's a mix-up in the running and Smith has to dive back at the non-striker's end. No direct hit.

And next ball, Finch gets 2 and a century. 100* (115).

And next ball he holes out. He's furious with himself.

Oz 3/185 (35.3).
