Appeal for caught behind against Jadhav. Not out. They appeal!
They win! Good review!
Hope heard the faintest of edges.

India 4/140 (28.5). Dhoni comes in early.
Roach 3/28 (7).

This is just about as well as WI could have hoped to start, whatever a par score turns out to be. But Kohli and Dhoni are out there now.

cricinfo forecasts 307.

Odds: WI 34%, India 66%.
Line: 287.5.

Awful missed stumping by Hope. WI will rue that if Dhoni gets going.

The standard of keeping in this WC has been atrocious. Id like to know the list of the best keepers in each country, and how far down their ODI WC keepers are. I guess Carey is second behind Paine, but some might put Neville ahead of him too. What about the other countries?

Kholi holes out off Holder, the ball after hitting a 4!!

It was a rubbish ball, just like the rubbish balls that have given NCN & K. Richardson wickets. The British commentators can't believe how "soft" the dismissal was. Kohli couldn't believe it either. He stood there for a while in shock at what he'd done.

India 5/180 (38.2). Pandya comes in. Dhoni is still there after being given a life, but is going at snail's pace.

cricinfo forecasts 277 now.

Odds: WI 40%, India 60%.
Line: 272.5.

At 5/187 (41), cricinfo forecasts 264.

Brathwaite bowls the 42nd & 44th overs and leaks runs. WI look like another team with 5th-bowler problems.

At 5/214 (44), the line is 274.5.

------------------------------------

Multiple commentators talk about how deep in the crease Pandya is batting.

And Brathwaite 0/33 (3) is hit out of the attack, so Thomas has to return. This is like-for-like "rubbish" bowling.

Cottrell gets Pandya. 46 (38 ).

India 6/250 (48.2).

Odds: WI 36%, India 64%.
......................................

Another wicket in the same over.

7/252 (48.5).

Odds: WI 38%, India 62%.

Dhoni hits the last over for 6 . . 4 . 6

India 7/268 (50).

WI lacked a 5th bowler. Four bowlers went for 7/171 (40). Thomas & Brathwaite went for 0/96 (10). (Isn't it funny how many of the teams have the same problems?) Unusually there was one bye and no leg-byes.

The British commentators think the total is too low. Roach says he thinks the total is about par. We'll find out.

Odds at change of innings: WI 34%, India 66%.

In the 5th over, cricinfo forecasts WI 53% chance of winning...

But Gayle departs!

WI 1/10 (4.5).

cricinfo's forecast drops from WI 52% to 42%.

Odds: WI 24%, India 76%.

Shami bowls Hope!

WI 2/16 (6.5).
Shami has both wickets.

WI are crumbling.

cricinfo's forecast drops from WI 44% to 29%.

Odds: WI 17%, India 83%.

-------------------------------

At 2/50 (15), cricinfo forecasts WI 31%.

Pooran throws his wicket away, caught at long-off.

WI 4/80 (20.2).

WI are in big trouble. They look like being bowled out for not many. It's spinning big time!
The batsmen aren't the only ones struggling. Dhoni is trashing the art of keeping just like most of the other keepers in this WC. (Missed stumping, byes, ...)

cricinfo's forecast drops from WI 29% to 20%.

Odds: WI 11%, India 89%.

And now Holder holes out too.

WI 5/98 (23.5).

The way this is going, WI will struggle to make 200, let alone the target.
They need to bat as safely as possible for the next 16 overs.

Odds: WI 7%, India 93%.
Line: 200.5.

....................................

Back on the abysmal keeping, cricinfo tells us: "The nine byes conceded by Dhoni in this innings are already the most he has ever conceded."

And he has half the innings to let even more byes and missed stumpings through, if WI don't get themselves bowled out before then.

Two wickets in two balls to start the 27th over! On a hat-trick.
(WI keep their review because it was umpire's call.)

Bumrah misses the hat-trick, but it was a good attempt.

And he finishes with a double-wicket maiden.

Odds: WI <1%, India >99%.

30th over: Cottrell goes 4 6 . . W

WI 9/124 (29.5).

And WI have succeeded in ending bets on the result early.
Line: 130.5.

-------------------------------------

The game almost ends in the 32nd over, but TV umpire Michael Gough rules that Sharma did not take the catch before the ball touched the ground.

Four balls later, in the same over, Rahul drops a catch. cricinfo says it's only the second dropped catch for India in this WC.

-------------------------------------

There it is, the final wicket, after India reviews.

WI all out for 143 (34.2). India win by 125 runs.

WI officially cannot make the SFs.
