S. Africa won toss, elected to field.

Bad start for SL, with Rabada getting Karunaratne caught at slip off the first ball. 1/0 (0.1).

SL have recovered in this first Powerplay. CRR is over 6...

... but then Fernando throws his wicket away. I think he did this last game too.

SL 2/67 (9.5).

Odds: SL 32%, SA 68%.
Line: 265.5.

Pretorius has 2 wickets.

cricinfo's forecast drops from 306 before that dismissal to 285.

Odds: SL 24%, SA 76%.

British commentator: "What is Mendis doing? He seems to be trying to get himself out."

The British commentators discuss the war of words that has erupted between former and current players. Vaughan said that this could be the worst WC ever for England. The response was: he should know, because he was part of two of the worst England WCs ever.

British commentator: "The problem with England is that we have a history of being rubbish."

Duminy bowls de Silva. Another gifted wicket.

But it doesn't last. Mendis out.

Finch: "I think eight years ago, more the Melbourne Renegades to now, I've changed a lot, just in the way that I used to talk a lot. I got some feedback from the boys: 'Don't talk so much.' So I took that on board. I don't tend to not talk as much around team meetings or things like that. I try and let everyone else have their own say and just contribute where I need to."

Malinga yorks de Kock!

SL badly needed that wicket.

S. Africa 1/31 (4.5).

If we can judge by the SL innings, it may be easier to bet in the first Powerplay than later in the innings.
