Second Ashes Test. Lord's.
Athers is talking about Root's LBW problems. He says it's a post-2016 thing. He shows split-screen video and says Root's pre-2016 pre-movement was back and showing the stumps. After, it was back and across.
Gower says you have to be careful regarding which balls were coming back in. He says you cover for one weakness (presumably nicking balls in the channel) and that makes you more vulnerable to another.

Hazlewood switches ends. Oz need another wicket, because this is a flat pitch. Still a gamble that decision to bowl. Ah, Khawaja... So frustrating.
Healy wanted four wickets before lunch.
Lloyd: "Gently coming off the pitch."
Holding: "That helps the batsmen when they get the edges."
They look at the Khawaja drop.
Holding: "That should have been straight in and another wicket. ... Good height."

Hazlewood gets Denly, nicking behind.
England 3/92.
Botham: "I don't think you can do much about that."
It was good, but I don't think it was that good.
We are watching replays. It definitely moved, but there was a slight move of bat away from the pad in the shot.
That wicket was badly needed. Well done, Hazlewood.

Some good short bowling this session.
Burns is hit in the chest.
A few overs ago, we were told that Oz have bowled 50% short so far this session, and they must have decided in the lunch break that with little movement this was the way to go.
And another short ball from Cummins hits him again on the body.
Holding: "And he's getting the height right. Don't want the ball sailing over the batsman's head."

Brilliant catch!!
Holding: "Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant."
And it was Bancroft. I told you he should have been at bat pad before, not the slips:

Third time unlucky for Burns. Two easy chances dropped, and then this.
England 4/116.
We've seen replay after replay. Now full speed again.

Athers tells us Bancroft is 11-0 for catches (and drops) at short leg.
..........................................
They talk about batsmen perceived to be vulnerable to the short ball.
Athers mentions Morgan in ODIs.
..........................................
Holding: "Tim Paine will be saying, 'It's a little more difficult than I thought, but it's still going well.'"
Burns made 53 before his luck ran out, thanks to Bancroft's left fingertips. He was 16 when he was first dropped and 47 the second time he was dropped.
..........................................
Gower nominates a short-leg fielder from the 60s and 70s. I didn't catch the name. Did anyone else hear who it was?

Siddle gets Buttler, nicking to Paine.
Well-deserved wicket after those drops.
England 5/136. Drinks.
The ball was wide of off stump and I'm not sure it did much, TBH.
Paine's decision to bowl is looking much better now and it's tail after this pair.
