It'll be Leach straight after tea.

Taylor says he'll need to take a couple of wickets for England to have any chance.

Lloyd says if you kick it away, you need to be sure to have your hands right out of the way, because it can bounce up into the gloves.

Lloyd: "I thought they played really well, the two lads at the crease."

But Leach gets Bancroft LBW.

Oz 3/47.

Bancroft played back to a full arm ball that stayed low. Bad, bad decision.

HawkEye says it would have hit the stumps lower than halfway up.

Just very poor batting technique shown by Oz.

Lloyd again praises Labu, given the circumstances of how he's been thrown into the role of trying to save his country.

-----------------------------------------

Now Head to face his first ball. Leach from over the wicket.

Head tries to sweep his first ball. Misses. Dangerous.
...

Now 4 byes. Head set up for the sweep again but stopped, and the ball missed everything. Head is looking a mess here.

Warne: "Just get forward and try to smother it."

Warne: "England are close. England are close here."

Warne says Labu has "left the ball pretty well".

Warne: "Isn't it great for the game?"

Not when you have everyone from small countries being stolen by England...

They take a single and the throw gives four extra overthrows.

Leach continues over the wicket to Labu.

50 rps. 54.7mph.

Warne: "Nice bowling."

So far, Labu has played with the bat, instead of kicking the ball away.

Now he sweeps to the man at 45.

He's looking safer than Head, who now has strike.

Warne: "See if Travis Head has calmed down. ... That's better. Forward and smother."

We're down to 30 overs, with 7 wickets in hand.

Archer's pace has dropped. He's into his 9th over.

Oz's hope will be that they get a draw and that Archer overbowls here and is burnt out for the next Test.

Warne: "It doesn't sound like much, 5, 6, 7 mph, but it is."

Leach is now around the wicket to Labu.

Marnus looks okay. He's in the 20s. Head is not yet off the mark. Not that runs matter much, but rotating the strike might help.

-----------------------------------------------

Long conversation between Broad & Root.

Another over for Archer. 28 overs remaining now.

They are calling for another helmet, so Burns will go on the off side, Warne thinks. Stokes is at fine leg slip.

Lloyd: "I reckon this has come from Stuart Broad."

Bat pad off side, so there are now two bat pads.

Marnus flirts at a short ball outside off. No need for that. He must have lost concentration.

Archer goes around the wicket, but Marnus pushes for a single.

The next ball is too straight and Head clips it for 4 over Buttler at bat pad to get off the mark.

They survive the over. Warne thinks that'll be it for Archer's spell.

Oz 3/61 (21).

The broadcast & cricinfo disagree on how many overs are left.

I'll believe the broadcast for now.

Head gets well forward with the defensive stroke. That looked a lot better than when he started.

Athers: "A bit gloomy. The lights are on."

Head tries to sweep.

Athers: "Outside the line. A safe shot."

Broad now. 26 overs remaining.

Oz 3/73. They won't go for the target of 267.

Woakes is warming up too.

Marnus leaves well.
...

And now Marnus square drives the full, wide ball through point for 4.

Athers tells us he scored over 1000 runs for his county side, so he's not cold that way.

It is Woakes, replacing Leach. 25 overs remaining.

Nasser: "I wouldn't say Woakes has been at his best. ... A little short."

Athers: "The thing we haven't seen a great deal of is swing."

Head is looking a lot more organised now.

Woakes appeals for LBW against Marnus. Not out. They review.

Hit him outside off. Not out.

They reviewed in desperation. Normally, they wouldn't have, says Athers. Probably high as well.

Yep, that's what Woakes looked like he was mouthing to Root.

........................

Now Marnus cuts for 4.

Athers: "Pretty secure."

Now Stokes. 22 overs remaining.

First ball short, wide, slow. Head cuts through the covers for 4.

..................

And another 4 to end the over.

Oz 3/96.

..................

Leach returns after that Woakes over.

Stokes from around the wicket.

Head nicks. Second slip Roy drops a sitter.

...........................................

And now a misfield at point gives Head a 4. That brings up the 50 partnership.

Next ball Head flashes and misses. Stokes says something.

Next ball, a better shot gives another 4.

Stokes back over the wicket bowls a full toss. Head gestures to the square-leg umpire. That should have been a no ball.

An eventful over.

Oz 3/104.

Sangakkara & Holding praise Marnus. It's one positive Oz can take out of this, Holding says.

Marnus sweeps Leach for 4.

They change the field. Deep backward square leg comes in.

The next ball spins across the body. There are cries from behind the stumps.

Sangakkara: "You can kick it away."

They appeal for LBW as Marnus tries to sweep again. Not out.

Now Holding is displeased that Marnus is playing balls outside leg instead of kicking them.

Holding: "If he gets out..."

Marnus has soaked up over 80 balls.

-----------------------------------------

Within 16 overs left, Root brings himself on.

At the end of this over, the final hour will start.

Marnus cuts the first ball for 3.

Bairstow's grating voice can be heard encouraging "Roota".

Head cuts for 4.

Root is bowling far too short.

Head cuts again, but calls "wait there, no run".

Oz 3/118. Drinks.

This game feels safe now.

Healy thinks they may end this game early.

They are talking Marnus up.

Healy on Marnus: "He's batting with the energy of Steve Smith."

The last hour starts.

Holding: "A minimum of 15 overs."

Sangakkara: "He has looked a lot better than some of the batsmen who have played..."

Marnus brings up 50. There is applause and cheers.

Leach is bowling. On cricinfo, they've noted that he bowls LHed but throws RHed.
