Beautiful footwork, neat defence and 3 scoring shots, all 4s, so far. A beautiful square cut, a lovely lofted on-drive and a magnificent off drive.

They finally pulled one up short of the deep boundary, just a 3. He now has 26 from 20. Short (something of a sight-gag that, since he towers over Jake) is 70 from 67.

Short brings up the Vic 200 with another 6. 4/203 from 36. Ridiculously, that brought up the 50 partnership (53 from 40-odd balls) and Jake outscored the senior player (despite Short's 2 6s since Jake came to the crease).
