"The talented allrounder required surgery and will return to lead the Perth Scorchers in their opening Big Bash League clash against the Sydney Sixers at the SCG on Wednesday. However, he will not bowl, meaning any hope he had a Test call-up, potentially for the third and final clash against New Zealand in Sydney should Australia opt for a second spinner, appears highly unlikely.

"Obviously, my wrist will never be 100 per cent in terms of doing certain things, but playing cricket shots and holding a bat it's all good, so I am ready to go.""
Long way to go for final of big bash but im with Donny and the renegades go back to back scorchers will want to revenge last times big bash and hurricanes and thunder are the smokeys. Heat will start well but fizz out towards the end of the big bash.
Heat 6ers and renegades to be winners for the first 3 matches.
Good to see thunder win against the odds 6res and perth tonight I favour 6ers at home and the mighty renegades to win in down the highway geelong would have liked it being played at Marvel though I would have attended it then.
