Certainly T20 slogathons are helping destroy real cricket...

What to do about it I don't know. If it split completely into non-overlapping groups of players, that might help. But then unless the total pool of players is at least 2 or 3 times bigger, that just means a smaller pool of real cricket players. Greedy cricket administrators claim they attract new audiences, but they've never ever produced any evidence of that. (And BBL audiences have started declining.)

Agree this 20/20 thing has wreaked proper technique in particular batting and even proper bowling too get rid of it it’s had its time it’s all for the bucks anyway artificial

An example from the current series is Agarwal, whose technique was picked apart by Gavaskar and Ponting in commentary. Gavaskar pointed the finger at the IPL. Ponting added that Agarwal probably had his best season in the IPL this year. Predictably, his Test batting is now crap.
