They certainly have the firepower: Marcus Stoinis, Andre Fletcher, Hilton Cartwright, Glenn Maxwell, Nicholas Pooran, Nic Maddinson
So Stoinis is playing? I haven't seen him play this season.
Cartwright, Maxwell, Pooran, Maddinson all failed badly.
When the cause was lost, Zampa hit a 6 over midwicket with no follow through, no big swing... Those bats are not getting any less powerful. Those boundaries are not getting any longer.
Do we really want it to be easy for small leg-spinners to hit 6s with chipped shots?

Michael Holding: "T20 has ruined cricket."
What absolute nonsense.
Well, Holding is (of course) from the WI. Look what has happened to WI cricket. They are perennial T20 world champions. Their Test performances are disastrous. Holding cares about Test cricket.
(I'm curious to see what Pooran's Test vs. T20 figures are. He may not have played a lot yet, though.)
Even while enjoying watching slogging, one shouldn't kid oneself that this "fun" spectacle doesn't come at a huge cost. The way they bat, how could it possibly not affect their Test batting technique?
