And as none of them play for f#cking NSW, there goes another series thanks to selector ineptitude and coach numpty Langer. Steketee, Patto and Neser didn't ever get mentioned in the same breath after this, yet the writing was on the wall very early in the series.Donny wrote: Second dig: India 9 dec for 189. Oz A 1/52. Draw.
Of note: Patto and Neser bowled well...
So, India's first ever series win in Australia thanks to the useless hacks above.
ps. I'm over Starc and his putrid red ball pie thrower spells. Time to F%ck off.

Everyone played down the last one because they chose to believe in the Myth of Smith. This series showed Smith is part of the problem, not the solution. He can only score runs on dead tracks (e.g. SCG). But Oz's best chance of winning comes on spicy decks. Give up the Myth of Smith and prepare tracks for fast bowlers. Then Smith will fail but Oz might win (e.g. Adelaide -- which was not what I'd call a spicy deck but offered just enough assistance for the bowlers to be fair).
Jhye Richardson should probably have come in for Starc. But apart from Langer and co's lunacy, there was the whole quarantine thing that may have made that impossible. Ponting wants him to go to S. Africa for the next Test series.
India's injuries were very bad of course. But a small advantage is that they kept having fresh bowlers. Our mob were uninjured but cooked by the end of the series. Patinson injured himself at home. Dunno how. Maybe something stupid. India's Third XI bowlers out-performed Oz's First XI bowlers.
