The Thunder, powered by 110 from Hales, just set a BBL score for the highest total, with 5/232.

Sat 23/1

Scorchers 183 (20 overs)

Stars 4/104 (After 12 overs)

I pick the Scorchers to win this one, so back the Stars as I’m often wrong

Only 3 teams can win the bbl10 they are perth and the 2 sydney teams they are only stand outs.

After these is all very even apart from the lowly renegades so whats new.

The red hot team now is Perth they will tear the brisabne heat apart aust day and shore up top spot then 2nd sixers and 3rd thunder.

So many batsmen get out to drag-downs by spinners.

Marnus got a couple the other day. His bowling performance was better than his batting performance.

Last night, it was Maxwell's turn to hole out to Turner off a drag-down.

Oz batsmen are atrocious at spin (though Maxwell is supposed to be one exception).

Love Philippe; is it unfair to label him the great white hope, considering the amount of utter donkeys coach numpty keeps picking for Australian squads?
Sorry Dyso, but...

Philippe is a flat-track bully. In fairness to him, he is a wicketkeeper. I do not have any views on his keeping at the moment. The problem is, Carey is the anointed next keeper, so if Philippe is to play at international level it has to be as a specialist batsman.

Philippe gets loads of runs, but against the best bowling he has failed. When there was some swing for Worrall, Philippe played and missed 6 times in 10 balls (and was out on the 11th). I don't understand how that can happen. You'd think after the first few air swings, he'd adjust or try something different... I can understand if they were different balls. They weren't! The commentators said Worrall can bowl inswing too, but he was just bowling the same outswinger in the same place ball after ball. And Philippe was just swishing at air ball after ball like a Neanderthal. Brad Hodge said Philippe and co were not up to the challenge "technically or mentally". In Nick's speak, that means Philippe and co are flat-track bullies with nothing between their ears.

In another game, Rashid Khan came on and bowled him.

And against the Scorchers, Behrendorff exploited his technical faults and had him caught at slip.

Strikers made 159. For the Thunder, Adam Milne bowled 20 dot balls in his 4 overs, 1/6. One of those dot balls was a run out at the non-striker's end.

My tip is a Perth v Sydney 6ers gf played at either the mcg or Adelaide oval

I reckon the Adelaide strikers will win v thunder by around 16 runs 160 still a good score.

Bbl

Adelaide win by 6 runs and the canes Hobart are looking to win their match canes are 0-140 in the 14 over so a score of 200 plus is likely.
Adelaide winning means now Brisbane are out of the bbl.

Great total for Hobart 188 end of 20 overs could have been 15 runs more but very good my tip Hobart win by 18 runs always hard to bat under the lights too

Hobart win by 7 runs

My tips for today’s mcg double header is the Hobart canes to get over the renegades and the stars to bounce back and register a win over the Sydney 6ers

I think the Stars have got the shakes or the colliwobbles mate. I pick the 6’s to win in a reasonably close game before the Stars choke.
