I've no idea of the conditions but Williamson's decision to send India in is somewhat baffling. Yes, he has an excellent pace attack - 5 of them - but it means they'll have to bat last, against Ashwin & Jadeja.
"That's the fourth time Cheteshwar Pujara has been hit on the helmet in the last two years. Only Marnus Labuschagne and Rory Burns have been hit more often in Test cricket during that time."
... as it always should in Test cricket. No decent Test batsman should get out if the ball does nothing at all. It's been a sad race to the bottom in the last two decades. The batsmen get worse and worse. They make pitches flatter and flatter. So the batsmen get even worse. So they make the pitches even flatter. Then the batsmen whinge like piglets being slaughtered if there's any movement at all. And folks allow cricket to be destroyed while becoming fanboys of flat-track bullies like Smith.
The only things this Test could do better on are the emergency day and the light issue. Ideally, it'd have two or three emergency days to make sure there isn't a rain-caused draw.
