Ben Simmons (NBA and Playoffs thread)

Post by Presti35 »

This guy is absolutely copping it.

I dont think I've ever seen an individual cop the heat so much in a team sport in all my life.

Shaq went as fas as to say he would physically hurt him in the locker room if they were teammates. And there's been a hell of a lot of comments made in the NBA media and on social media too. There were even people burning his jerseys out in the streets.

And now, less that one day after losing a game 7 in the NBA playoffs, it seems that he's pulled out of the Olympic squad.

What do we make of this?

Personally, I'd like to see him suit up for the Boomers. But I have no doubt he'll be traded by the 76ers.

Now he’s yet again withdrawn from the Boomers, preferring to stay in holidays in the UK. I think it’s time Australia gave up on him, he’ll never play for them.

Ben Simmons is holding Sixers hostage. It could change the NBA forever and spark an ugly ‘epidemic’

All this for a player who hasn't really established himself at the top level and got stage fright in the playoffs.

I don’t agree with his approach but I sympathise. Feel like he got thrown under the Bus and the fans have always got stuck into him.

He’s made some mistakes along the way, but now he’s setting himself up to be Villain #1. I don’t think he can handle that mentally.

Don't ya reckon it was always gonna come to this once his teammates threw him under the bus? :?:

But stupid of him not playing for Oz. If NBA fans hate you, why alienate Oz too?

What may happen is the owners of the clubs may decide this is not in their interests and not deal with him at all. He might end up playing in Greece or Spain . And you can lop a zero of his contract.
Annoying opposition supporters since 1967.
