We had to keep alive the streak of a zero or one goal quarter. Given we kicked 3 goals in each of the first 3 quarters, it was a fait accompli that we would go goalless in the last.

Monco Matt wrote:^ I think Henry is the one genuine *STAR* in the making for us. He has the right stuff. Athletic, quick, strong hands, speed, size, confidence and can kick a goal. ....
He is a potential star, but to my mind at present he is a one trick pony. He is a very good mark. However, he actually seems a bit slow to me and certainly/understandably lacks the physicality and conditioning strength which will only come from another solid pre-season.

Does anyone have anything “ unofficial “ on our couple late injuries
Brown and Miochek ?
We looked pretty banged up by the end of that game ( add in Adams, Grundy and Thomas ) Not a good time to be having a likely five day turnaround.
At least the rest of the list will be fresh

That was a cheap hit on Mihochek late. No suprise no free kick or that it will be cited by the review committee.

Carlton had a couple of ripper players on Sunday

One. Sam Walsh ,a midfielder who knows what needed to get the ball to the second that being Harry Mackay and both have had a few seasons in AFL

But folks we also have two ripper players who are as clean with the ball and effectivel but have played less than a season

Trent Bianco. and. Oliver Henry

Get ready Pies for a thrilling ride when they get a season or two up thier sleeve

Mc.Crae & Bianco have at their age excellent ball disposal and the early senses as to where to put it to advantage
McCrae
Bianco
Henry
Poulter
McCreery
Ruscoe

All big futures IMO

Bianco is one of the few on our list (all players, not just the kids) who actually looks like he has a good footy brain and the disposal to go with it!

Yeah, he turned it over a few times on Sunday…. In what, his 5th or so game?

He’ll be very good for us. Hopefully a few more come good.

“Turned it over “. There were others.
I’ll name one. Sidebottom

We are playing this kid and we will reap the rewards like other we have

Sure it won’t happen quick like we would like

But it will happen

Isn't Thomas an automatic 12-day out because he was subbed for concussion?
