Josh Inglis has leapfrogged Carey and Philippe to win a spot as the back-up gloveman to Matthew Wade.
The Perth Scorchers star was the leading run scorer in England's recent domestic T20 competition, cracking 531 runs from 14 games at a strike rate of 175.82 with Leicestershire.

Yeah that is correct but I think the batting depth is better now to adapt to the conditions. Not saying we’ll win this but we won’t be blown away either.
Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine!

"Australia will eagerly await news of the severity of an injury to Marcus Stoinis after he suffered a hamstring strain during the Delhi Capitals' first match of the Indian Premier League's resumption in Dubai.
Stoinis hurt his left hamstring while bowling early in his second over, limping off the field and playing no further part in Wednesday's match."

They have other strengths that will counter some deficiencies with spin. I’m confident that they will have a pretty competitive series and will surprise in a few games. I hope the other teams underrate the Aussies at their peril.
Can’t wait for the games to start and for the boys to open up a few doubting eyes.

Kane Williamson (on the UAE pitches):
"They've varied a lot actually. Even a lot compared to what we experienced last summer when we had the whole tournament here and in previous years when we've played here as well. Something to be aware of; something certainly to prepare for and try and make those adjustments as quickly as possible and get comfortable with what realistic expectations are and what competitive totals are because it has not unfolded in that traditional T20 style at times.
"But then we've had other days, in the IPL when we turned up to Abu Dhabi, the wicket looked very similar, but there was sort of an 80-run difference in what was perhaps a par total. It is really adjusting to what's in front of you as quickly as possible and trusting in that judgement."

[If the pitches for the WC are "slow and low", as cricinfo described them, then Oz are in huge trouble.]
