Just confirming we have enough points assuming he goes pick 1?

I think we have a second rounder and a heap of 3rds or something? Has someone done the math?

If he is called out at #1 ( likely )
We need to find 2400 points ( 3000 - 20 % )
Our draft hand points value as it stands right now ( which will be very different on the night ) is 1700 odd
The big bonus for us would be if Daicos was picked at #2. Not a chance he would go any later. At pick 2, he would cost us something like 400 less points or closer to 2000 points in total.

Dave, I think any club with pick #1 would bid for him first. If you think he’s the best kid in the country, then you call his name out. Its also pushes everyone’s later picks up the order once you call out Darcy and Daicos with # 1 and # 2 and that in turn, improves all clubs positioning for any pick swapping on the night.
I’m expecting Daicos Darcy and then Horne - Francais in that order and the Crows will be working very hard at improving on #4 either leading up to or on the night.

Been thinking does he get number 35 being our first pick or??????

Is he given number 42 for 1 year and 35 is retired for 1 year.

I am aware that there is the Presti connection to number 35 but ??

We gifted Norf a very talented player for next to nothing last year.
Perhaps they'll remember that on draft night.

My gut feeling is Nick will get it and keep it. (if he wants it)
