WA defeat Qld by 7 wickets chased 95 to win and did it 3/96 to win outright is a great win for WA in Brisbane away too some players steaking their claim for the Ashes team.

Jhye Richgardson was named Player of the Match for his 3/38 & 5/23.

Takes his bowling stats to 16 wickets @ 12.20 for the SS season.

Oz's best batsman, Marnus, scored a golden duck and 36 against WA, both times caught behind.

Sheffield Shield is still much harder for him than Test cricket on the ultraflat Test decks.

But his last game against Tassie was good for boosting his average. A century and a not out will inflate it nicely.

Does anyone know why Victoria plays NSW 3 times on the trot ? I do realise it's something to do with Covid restrictions.

How will this fit in with the rest of the draw ?

The Sheffield Shield match between New South Wales and Victoria will not start this morning as scheduled due to a possible COVID-19 case.

Cricket Australia said Victorian bowler Will Sutherland "returned a test result which requires further analysis" in the course of routine testing.

The Victorian team is self-isolating while further investigations take place.

The delayed New South Wales-Victoria Marsh Sheffield Shield clash will get underway today at the SCG despite Will Sutherland being confirmed as COVID-19 positive.

The four-day game that was meant to begin Friday was delayed after the Victoria allrounder returned a test result requiring further analysis during routine testing.

A positive diagnosis was then confirmed later in the day.
