Brings to mind 'Old Irongloves', Rod Marsh.
Hit good runs in Shield but dropped vital chances in his early Tests. To his great credit, he worked tirelessly to improve as a 'keeper, becoming one of our very best.
Bear in mind, this was the bloke who kept to Lillian Thompson's thunderbolts.

Fast bowlers Mark Steketee and Scott Boland have joined Australia's Test squad in Adelaide as officials seek clarification on the training protocols available to skipper Pat Cummins during his seven-day COVID quarantine period.
The pair flew in early this afternoon and arrived at Adelaide Oval hauling their cricket kits soon after debutant Michael Neser received his Baggy Green cap as Cummins' late replacement on day one of the second Vodafone Ashes Test.

But Marnus went lbw to Robinson for 103. He reviewed - but didn’t play a shot and the review showed the ball cannoning into middle stump. Presently 3/260. Smith is 32* and Head is 11*.
