Oz need to be careful here. Don't wanna throw a Test away.

Leach can easily bowl FTB, but don't expect Lyon to bowl Root. Lyon struggles to bowl out sides on the last day of a Test.

Wowee... If Jonny scores a century, it'll show how flat the pitch still is. Just like when Khawaja scored his (with the help of a dropped catch, of course).

They say there's some variable bounce... But unless it actually gets a wicket, variable bounce is just optics. Show me a ball scuttle along the ground and bowl a batsman... Then I'll get interested.
Bairstow got a century but also a hand injury. I guess that's at least something. 8)

But it's never good seeing FTBs get centuries. It means the pitches are too flat.

Green hit Anderson for back-to-back 4s a few overs ago... Shows the pitch is still easy. (But not easy enough for FTB of course. )

Is rain coming?

For 60 years, batting has been more or less like this at Sydney. It is not some recent phenomenon.
