Bangladesh complete famous Test win over New Zealand
A jubilant Bangladesh have completed their finest ever Test victory abroad, ending world Test champions New Zealand's 17-match unbeaten streak at home in a remarkable upset.
Ebadot Hossain, a former volleyball player for the Bangladesh Air Force who had a bowling average of 81.54 from 10 Tests coming into the series opener in Mount Maunganui, proved the unlikeliest of heroes as he ripped through the hosts with a terrific spell of 6-46.

It was a spectacular win for the visitors, but just as unexpected was how the home team, which held a 17-match unbeaten home record before this game, capitulated, second-best in most departments.
And that's enough to be World Champions.Pies4shaw wrote:... New Zealand fields about 3 Test-standard players.
And easily the best performed team over all formats. Runners up at Slogathon WC. Runners up (robbed) at ODI WC...
I guess all the other sides must have at most one Test-standard player each!! For Oz, I'll nominate Pat Cummins as that one! I guess Root for England?! Who for India?? Kohli is not playing at the moment... Bumrah???

I think you're being overly kind to the NZer's there.Pies4shaw wrote:World Champions of nothing. They haven't been competitive in a Test against Australia for more than a decade.
.
Since 1986, NZ have beaten Australia 3 times in a test match.
A 7 run victory in 2011 at Bellerive (How we went from 2/159 to be all out for 233 in the run chase still baffles me) their last test win, 11 years ago. Prior to that, it was 25 winless tests against the Aussies.
Overall it's 34 to 8 with 18 drawn games.
In NZ its' 14 - 5 - 11
In Aust it's 20 -3 - 7
