Australian Cameron Smith has finished with the lowest tournament score in PGA Tour history, outlasting world No.1 Jon Rahm in a thrilling shootout to win the $11 million Tournament of Champions in Hawaii.
The invite-only field plundered the Plantation Course at Kapalua with unbelievably low scores and Smith was brilliant over all four days, finishing at a staggering winning score of -34 to claim a fourth career PGA Tour title.
Spaniard Rahm finished a shot back while another Australian Matt Jones stormed into third with a brilliant final round of 12 under par that featured two eagles. Incredibly, Jones finished with rounds of 62 and 61 on the par-73 course.
Smith’s victory earns him 2 million Oz dollars.
