Head's run-a-ball half ton has been a delight to watch.

Oz 4/136. Head 60*, Green 24*.

Half century partnership.
On decks that are fair to bowlers, the batting cream rises to the top. The FTBs get left behind with their ducks. We've seen that today. (Not that Head is necessarily cream. But this series he is. And Marny may be just "good average", but he's obviously been by far Oz's best batsmen since Nov. 2019.)

True for bowlers too. Wood and Woakes bowled very poorly and were punished. Bowlers still need to bowl well to get wickets.

He gets the century and immediately gets outs.

Head 101 (113).

Bit of a waste there... :(

Pressure on Carey now. Had a very bad Sydney Test. Questions around his keeping (dropped catches, missed run outs, ...).

Head missed out on the opportunity to get more runs after a great century but that is cricket. He should put that dismissal at the back of his memory and celebrate his well deserved hundred.
Loving this innings by Green. Some text book strokes beautiful to watch.

I beg to differ. Carey's been groomed for about 2 years, to keep for Australia. They're not about to ditch him, for lack of runs with the bat, at this stage.

Donny and Lazza: Pressure is on whether or not Carey's at risk of being dropped. He might've cost Oz the win in Sydney.

Same with batters who can't score runs except on dead pitches. e.g. They'll never have the guts to drop FTB Smith.

Agree. I predict that Carey will score a half century in this innings.
