Halep got knocked out this arvo.

Medvedev lost the 3rd-set tiebreak against Cressy. (But he won the first two sets, so it's still under control.)

Oz's de Minaur is on serve against Sinner in the 1st set. Big task this one for Alex. Sinner is a future Slam winner.

Lotta tiebreaks today...

Medvedev has won one, lost one... and there may be another one soon (it's 5-5 in the 4th)*.

AdM and Sinner are in one. (Sinner's serving to take it out.)

Cilic lost two to lose in 4 sets to Auger-Aliassime.

* Update: Medvedev won the set 7-5 and with it the match.

If you are wondering what the feral fans from Carlscum and Essenscum are doing at the moment, they are all being **** at the tennis. Absolute bloody disgrace and it will shame Australia

Nadal beat Shapovalov in 5 sets, after leading 2 sets to 0.

Tennis lovers would've been gobsmacked to find that Ch. 9 switched to the Oz doubles match after 2 sets ... and then never returned! They have two channels!! They chose to play the same doubles match on two channels. As brainless as modern cricket batters!!

Gleeson:

"Nadal is now through to his 36th grand slam semi-final (still short of Federer’s 46 and Djokovic’s 42) and his seventh semi-final in Melbourne. After the first two sets that seemed to be a pleasing formality. After fours sets it seemed disappointingly unlikely. After five sets it was just a class act."

...................

Gotta see whether Shapo is fined for telling the chair ump, "You are all corrupt."

Gleeson: "Ultimately, he was beaten by his own immaturity and intemperance and Nadal’s maturity and guts."

Yep, it was so dumb.

They are pushing people over to 9Now to watch stuff but it is crap.
Tried using it a couple of times on our TV and stops starts all the time.
When I did get to work, I had a look at the list of highlights packages and they are garbage. You see about 5 minutes of a 2 hour game.

Tsitsipas just beat Sinner in straight sets.

Slightly surprising... I might've had a nibble on Sinner if Tsitsipas had been favourite... But Sinner was favourite...

So only one Italian in the men's SFs, not two.
