And then, as a salutary example of the importance of concentration in Test batting, Blackwood gives himself up to Lawrence for 102, not playing a shot to a ball that was going to miss the top of middle stump by the distnce necessary to hit the middle of it. 4/284.

And, at Stumps, 4/288.

Barring 'sporting' declarations, I can't see this Test going anywhere. The wicket's as dead as a doornail.

Jason Holder has joined his Skipper, Kraigg Brathwaite at the crease. Holder's a competent batsman and Brathwaite has batted for 444 balls, so far.

The Windies' entire innings has used up 933 balls.

England's balls faced totalled 880 for its 9/507 declared.

At one point. Dan Laurence bowled a long hop. Alzarri Joseph hoiked it over the square leg fence. The clatter woke several of the crowd.

Now, it's raining.

All out for 411. England to start their second innings, late on the 4th day. Leach reached his century, too - well deserved. 3/118.

... and at Stumps, England is 0/40. One day to play. England's lead is 136.

Declared at 6/186. West Indies 3/53. Campbell, Brooks and Bonner are all bavk in the pavillion. Brathwate is 31* and Blackwood is 4*. Mahmood has 2/12 and Leach has the other wicket. There are 44 overs remaining. The win (another 228 required) looks out of the question. The wicket is deteriorating badly, so the question is whether the batsmen can survive.

The commentators are just observing that play would probably need to extend to 6.20 pm for the remaining overs to be bowled - but that yesterday the light was unplayable and the players left the field around 5.45 pm.
