Superb effort from Murphy and Perry. The pair came together at a perilous 8-187 still needing 44 runs to win after Will Sutherland, James Pattinson, Sam Harper and Nic Maddinson had fallen in quick succession.
Meritorious enough if there's a 9th. wicket 47 run unfinished partnership from a top 6 batsman and a tail ender, to get your tem to such an important victory ... but for 2 young bowlers to do it ?
Perry and Murphy rarely get time in the nets, with the bat, as the more senior players are preferred, naturally enough.
This was just Murphy's second first class match and Perry's 14th.
