9/186. 72 run partnership, so far. The wicket looks to have dried out nicely for the WIndies innings (provided, of course, they can actually take the last English wicket inside the remaining 4 and a bit days).

Meanwhile, for those who like to reach for their record books, the number 10 and 11 are the top-scorers for England. That must be unusual. It says a fair bit about their dedication and application - and also, of course, about the incompetence of the rest of the batting.

Update - 9/200. This is getting silly, now.

Further update - All out for 204. Stumps on Day 1.

Further, further update - the Fox commentators reckon the only other time the number 10 and 11 were the top-scorers for their team in a Test innings was in 1885.

Slept through this.... been a hectic few days.

Should have rolled them for 150 max! Still, a pretty strong position for the Windies here.

Windies $1.85
Poms $2.85
Draw $5.75

Can cash out both bets now for a small (10%) overall gain... an astute pro punter would probably take that after day 1... not me :), let it ride 8)

Da Silva brings up his 50 with a 4. He's 52*, Roach is 16* and the West Indiesis 8/221. That's a lead of 17. The new ball was taken a couple of overs ago. It's a shame they didn't catch Leach on 10 yesterday (he was dropped in slip) - this could have been a substantial lead.
