NZ v Netherlands - ODI series

Post by Pies4shaw »

First game tomorrow, 12 pm (AEDST).

Seriously, does it get any better than this?

The NZ squad is: Tom Latham (c) (wk), Doug Bracewell, Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Colin de Grandhomme, Martin Guptill, Matt Henry, Kyle Jamieson, Henry Nicholls, Ish Sodhi, Ross Taylor, Blair Tickner, Will Young

The Oranje squad is: Pieter Seelaar (c), Stephan Myburgh, Max O’Dowd, Scott Edwards (wk), Bas de Leede, Vikramjit Singh, Aryan Dutt, Logan van Beek, Philippe Boissevain, Brandon Glover, Fred Klaassen, Ryan Klein, Clayton Floyd, Boris Gorlee, Shariz Ahmad, Michael Rippon

The Netherlands line-up is a little light on. No Gullit, van Basten, Depay, Bergkamp, Schneider, Robben, Rep, Neeskens or Crujff in the middle ordr for this tournament. They do, however, have a bunch of guys with names that for the most part sound like they might know how to lineup in a 4-4-2.

Kiwis - $1.06
Dutch - $9

The Netherlands are coming off a 0-3 series (ODI) loss to Afghanistan in January.
I'll probably watch a little bit waiting for the traffic to die down before heading south.
Don't count the days, make the days count.

I suppose that's one way to stop the NZ-ers from fattening up their batting averages at the expense of the Netherlands.

NZ going along well. They are 5/33 after 11 overs (Guptill 6, Nicholls 19, Young 1, Taylor 1, Michael Bracewell 1). I imagine they'll bowl the Netherlands out for 23. I wonder whether NZ will declare?
