The Royals hung on to win by 3 runs. Marcus Stoinis came in remarkably late (at the fall of the 6th wicket, with the score on merely 101 and only 27 balls to come) and just missed being top-scorer for the Super Giants (de Kock made 39) with 38* from 17 balls. He was 3 runs from 3 balls at the end of the 17th over and then his side took 15, 19 and 11 from the final 3 overs, to fall just short.

And the Sunrisers won. Williamson was named POTM for his 57 from 46 balls. Gujurat will be thinking they need to take more notice when Wade tells them to review a turned-downn lbw appeal - on the 4th ball of the Sunrisers' innings, Williamson was out lbw to Shami. The umpire gave it not out but the ball tracking was shown the following over (there was plainly no bat involved) would have been 3 reds for the 3rd umpire. Pity, really - it would have made the game tighter and would have spared us the boredom of watching Williamson bat for almost his entire innings at well under a run a ball.

Tonight at midnight (AEST), it's CSK v RCB. We'll have a chance to see if Maxy can keep up his 400 strike rate.
