Wells Fargo golf. Day sizzles.

Post by Donny »

Jason Day leads the US PGA Wells Fargo Championship, after 2 rounds.

He opened with a 7 under par 63 and followed that up with a 3 under 67.

Minus 10 and a 3 stroke lead.

Other Aussies not doing so well. Cam Davis and Cam Percy are 2 over and Mark Leishman, 3 over.

Day had the best of the conditions, having hit off early on both days.

Later, during the second round, bad weather rolled in. Wet and cold.

"“It’s nice to be able to get in at 10-under through two rounds, especially with what kind of weather we’ve got coming in on the weekend,” Day said."

A 9 over third round saw Day crash, out of contention.

His 4th. round par 70 regained a modicum of respectability for the former World #1. Minus 1, overall. Tied for 15th.

Max Homa won, with 8 under, by 2 strokes.
