Johnson just took a well judged lead, fly and pack mark. A really smooth mover, clearly has talent.

It ain't pretty against the competition leaders, Casey booted 6 unanswered goals with the breeze.
We're at 47% kicking efficiency so not executing well, nor winning contest forward of centre.
We've outtackled them and matched on disposals but lacking polish.

17. Callum Brown 9 disposals, 4 tackles
18. fin Macrae 6 disposals 2 tackles
24. Caleb Poulter 6 disposals
20. Will Kelly 5 disposals 1 tackle
29. Liam McMahon 5 disposals 1 tackle
45. Josh Carmichael 3 disposals 2 tackles
27. Cooper Murley 3 disposals 1 tackle
34. Isaac Chugg 2 disposals 1 tackle
36. Harvey Harrison 2 disposals 1 tackle
8. Trent Bianco 2 disposals 1 tackle
40. Ash Johnson 1 disposal

Finally scored a goal, Sam Fowler.

But just gave one up with a sloppy kick across goal in the backline.

Straight kicking by Casey considering the wind. They lead by 42 points, 11 minutes gone 2nd qtr.

Casey had made 14 inside 50's for 8.2 so far.

At this stage looks like boys against men.

Kelly and McRae look good. Sadly Kelly being good at CHB isn't that helpful, as it's a position we're not short on. Begg and Poulter decent. Johnson has skills, but not going to get a lot of chances in this match by the looks of it.

Not much else at this stage.

Free kick & 50 meters, 2nd goal to the Pies (Hustwaite).

Pies have had 20 inside 50s for 2.2

Caseys ball movement is much better.

And a free kick to Casey. They lead by 49 points with rain on the way.

What?

Roughead just retired & we need to keep Madgen out, great if Kelly could remain fit and gain some confidence.

Statistically, it looks pretty even, but that's about where it ends. Our deficiencies are borne from partly effort and partly class, the latter is a fair way off. Casey showing why they're on top of the ladder. Conditions now pretty miserable.

Clearances Casey 20 to Pies 18.
Casey have 22 Inside 50's to our 25 but ours have been bombed in, little forward craft on show let alone delivery efficiency.
A dirty day in the coaches box for Craig Black I can't see getting much better.

17. Callum Brown 16 disposals, 6 tackles, 5 clearances
24. Caleb Poulter 14 disposals, 1 tackle
18. Fin Macrae 13 disposals 10 tackles, 2 clearances
20. Will Kelly 11 disposals 1 tackle
45. Josh Carmichael 8 disposals 5 tackles, 1 clearance
29. Liam McMahon 8 disposals 1 tackle
27. Cooper Murley 6 disposals 1 tackle
8. Trent Bianco 5 disposals 2 tackles
39. Aiden Begg 5 disposals 3 tackles, 7 hit-outs, 2 clearances
34. Isaac Chugg 4 disposals 1 tackle
36. Harvey Harrison 3 disposals
40. Ash Johnson 2 disposals

Johnson has shown little but the brace of possessions he had were pretty nice.
Begg is a goer, will be a player.
Kelly has battled on, it's not a great day for a defender. Had a howler of a cross goal pass that was marked by the opposition to goal.

Pretty much. We aren't playing that badly, certainly putting in effort, but there's a clear gap in class and experience and a lack of system and targets going forward.
