Or one might say…..

One of the best debut seasons I’ve ever seen.

Depends I guess if you’re a glass half empty or glass half full kind of person .

If Nick is given number 35 its a bit disrespectful to Josh who was the first son to debut

The thing about Nick is that he doesn't seem to be getting carried away in the hype. He had big shoes to fill when he came in. There was a lot of hype and a lot of pressure to perform from day 1.
He has done it all and more with no fuss.
He will captain us to a premiership one day.

I think I remember Josh saying he didn't want the number 35.
IF Nicks wants it, he should have it.

Fair point - I didn't know that.

I wonder if sometime we will be talking about Peter as just being star players Nick and Josh's Dad?

I believe the only player to win the rising star award (AFL rookie of the year pre 1993) and make All Australian selection in the same season is Ben Hart in 1992. Nick may well be the 2nd.

I don't like the rotating #35. It means supporters are less likely to want it on the back of a guernsey. Also, you have seasons where we don't se it often. I can't find stats, but would be interested in how many games the #35 has appeared in.

The issues regarding Nos. 35 and 42 are very different and shouldn't be jointly discussed in the one thread.

Nick Daicos should wear #35 for his entire career.

^ thanks David.

That's what I thought. I remembered Faz, Grundy, Elliot and Stephenson. I forgot JDG wore 35.

Has anyone asked Josh? Perhaps they could split it? 3 and 5, respectively? Or what about 17.6 and 17.4...? The possibilities are numerous
