The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be held from 16 October - 13 November 2022 with 45 matches across seven world-class venues.
Brisbane will host four Super 12 matches over three days with hosts Australia, England and New Zealand to feature on consecutive nights on October 31 and November 1 respectively.

"World Cup minnows Namibia have opened the T20 tournament with a stunning 55-run upset win against Sri Lanka in Geelong.
The Namibians silenced the passionate, pro-Sri Lankan crowd with an outstanding all-round performance on Sunday at Kardinia Park.
After Jan Frylinck and JJ Smit's seventh-wicket heroics batted them back into the match, Namibia defended their 7-163 with great bowling and fielding to dismiss Sri Lanka for 108 from 19 overs.
It puts Namibia in the box seat to progress through the qualifiers and reach the Super 12 stage of the tournament, while Sri Lanka must now beat UAE and the Netherlands in their group."

The Netherlands just fell over the line. Very enjoyable game to watch - especially after I got over the confusion: clicking on the stream for a World Cup match between the Netherlands and the UAE, I was hoping to see Virgil van Dijk, Memphis Depay and Frenkie De Jong kicking the ball around.
Meanwhile, I forgot this was at Kardinia Park - since they qualifiers are all being played there, I might go down to watch one of the other double-header fixtures.

India beat Australia in a warm-up match. Finch scored 76 and Marsh, 35.
