If you've got a useful contribution to make, make it. Otherwise, stop playing the man and just STFU.

Meanwhile, the guy he "pushed out" of the Footscray midfield just finished 6th in the Collingwood B&F.

Great club man, Ads is.

His manager this week scoffed at the never-ending rumours about a move to QLD. Will see his career out as a Dog, manager says.

No. He's the only player in the AFL who can get 30 each week and negative metres gained. You watch him. He sits on the outside of packs gets a handball and immediately handballs backwards to someone else. For Treloar the footy is like "pass the parcel". Glad to be rid of him.

Whose spot would he take? That is, assuming we actually wanted to win an important game of football?

Treloar is one of the few players in AFL history who could be injected into any midfield ever assembled and instantly render it less potent. He can't even be hidden, like, say, Rupert Wills - because he gets his hands on the ball too often and goes the wrong way. Treloar in the guts reminds me of the old Roadrunner cartoons where Wily Coyote tries to detonate explosives near Roadrunner but only manages to blow himself up.

FFS, Footscray lost to the Eagles last week - according to the AFL, Treloar was the highest-rated running player in the game (143 "AF" points), followed by Bontempelli (140). Kelly only had 100 for the Eagles but he was so clearly BOG that it wasn't even a contest - while Treloar ran around handballing sideways and laying a lot of tackles (because he played the entire game from behind his opponent), Kelly dominated the contest in the middle of the park and threw in a lazy 5 goal assists.

Some guys just don't have what it takes to play winning AFL football at the top-level. Treloar is one of them.

And so, the answer to my rhetorical question is in: Not Pendlebury's. Not Sidebottom's. Not the Daicii, Not Mitchell, Not De Goey.

People just need to stop pretending that Treloar was ever good for anything except racking up pointless possessions, running the wrong way and coughing up the ball against hard opponents.

Look up "potato" in Wikipedia. Treloar should be the main image.
