And a very poor defensive unnecessary roughness penalty (the play was poor, not the decision - the refs were plainly correct) hands the Chiefs their place in the Super Bowl with a field goal with just 8 seconds to go.
The AFL marketing / development squad will be closely watching this revised Pro-Bowl format.
There's clearly opportunity for the AFL to develop this. The ill-conceived AFL-X will undoubtedly get refreshed with a new format.
This Pro-Bowl format in AFL style could be an ideal off-season / pre-season event.
