^ Sadly, Eng. are only 1/48. I'd prefer 2/43. Heck, if they were full Oz and 7/43, that'd be even better.

S'pose good 2nd-innings effort from NZ... But prolly needed another 50 or 100. Kane Williamson 132. 200 would been better. Sadly the tail fell away quickly.

Oh, almost forgot... 8)

The best Test batsman of this generation, Kane Williamson, became NZ's highest Test runscorer. He passed Ross Taylor's mark.

5 NZ batsmen passed 50 - and Williamson (who had reached 50 in a Test just twice in the last 2 years) passed 100. England will win this with 3 wickets down. Seriously, they haven't lost a batsman, yet - just Crawley.

England need 62 to win. Root is 90* from 90 and Stokes is 32*. The partnership is 116*. The batsmen out today are the nightwatchman, Robinson, for 2, Duckett for 33 and Brook - who was runout without facing a delivery.

6/201. Stokes jjust threw his hand away trying to hit one of those useless Wagner pies into the grandstand. I understand the feeling - it's bad enough watching the bloke bowl without having to face him - but that was a silly rush of blood and may cost England the Test.

Root gone for 95 and now they're 8 down, still needing 41. England's decided to lose this one. They're just going to play defensively until the last 2 wickets fall over.

Anderson belts a 4 - 2 required (1 to tie). 1 wicket in hand. Leach to face Southee, now.

Leach plays out a maiden - he is now 1 from 31 - how is this helping? Surely someone's number is going to come up, eventually - and it doesn't seem fair to leave it to Anderson to close his eyes and slog at the other end.

Wagner bowls a bumper 5 feet outside the leg stump, angled further down and gets away with it.

"England became just the fourth team in Test history to lose after enforcing the follow-on, with New Zealand's Neil Wagner dismissing last man James Anderson to seal an unforgettable one-run win in Wellington.

In a match that is sure to go down as one of the most gripping contests ever seen in the grand old format, it was England who stumbled at the line with Anderson feathering Wagner down the leg-side to leave England 256 all out chasing 258.

The only other previous one-run victory was by the West Indies against Australia in Adelaide in 1993 when No.11 Craig McDermott was the last man out caught behind off Courtney Walsh.

There were similarities in Wellington, with James Anderon the last man out, caught out by Kiwi wicketkeeper Tom Blundell, who took a fantastic grab down the leg side, off the bowling of Neil Wagner."

Stokes & Foakes should've got the Poms home. Pies4shaw: "Stokes just threw his hand away trying to hit one of those useless Wagner pies into the grandstand."
