So, not good news.
Cancerous tumour in my windpipe... PET scan Monday to see if it has spread.
Surgeon 'thinks' it's a less aggressive cancer, but for obvious reasons, can't be certain until further test results come through.
He was amazed that I was still able to be hitting the gym and digging holes with how much the tumour has reduced my airway, told to stop doing anything strenuous ... f*_C, shoulda seen me watching that game yesterday

Got the appointment to get plan of attack Wednesday arvo. It's all happening really quick which is a relief.
Saw my GP today and he gave me some mild anti anxiety meds. They are working a treat. The 9 million butterflies that have been shacked up in me guts are gone.
Has given me a chance to build up a bit of strength within and taken some pressure off of Kelly.

^Sounds like the anxiolytics are doing their job without too many side effects (don't worry about the erectile dysfunction for now ).
Find what works for you, but a guided meditation just to keep the self relaxed might be helpful, too. When I had bad anxiety a few years ago, I used to find first thing of a morning the best way to go, just to set the day up. Birds singing in the calm of the morning always works for me, too. There was one guided imagery that got you listening for outside sounds and focusing on them that I used to like (can't find it now, but it helped focus attention away from the self, which is half the trick).

Haven't noticed that yet The one he prescribed me is called APO-LORAZEPAM. Dosage was advised to be 1/2 a 1mg tablet 2-4 times a day, maximum of 5 days a week. I get a definitive prognosis after the PET scan on Wednesday, which will no doubt ease the anxiety in itself.
A walk with the dog around the lake near my place is very soothing and I'm trying to focus on other things. Slowly, slowly I guess.
Being pretty active and being told not to do anything strenuous is tough to adapt to. Going for a long run, swim or punching the shit out of bags was always a good release for me.
