Is it a case of RIP Collingwood Netball.

Not a financially savvy investment it appears.

I don't follow Netball, but the little I've read of this says we either need to up our investment or get out.

The team isn't winning games and has poor attendance, while costing money. We either need to commit more money and resources to improve performance (and therefore attendance and membership) or cut our losses.

Who here remembers our soccer team called the “Collingwood Warriors” from many years ago? They didn’t last very long
I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm ☔️

Caro reckons Collingwood have done many things right this year, but not this.

It's only $3 million, she says. Her point is we took Vic gov. money for this and now...

But Kelly could just say that wasn't on his watch!

The govt funding was for womens sport, not just netball.
Wilson is having a go at the club because she hasn't had much of a chance this year. I can't recall her commenting on netball before this.

Anyway, I am a Pies netball member and have been from the start.
Disappointing for the players but the reality is crowd numbers have not been good (fixture of games by SSN has been shit - games at the same time as footy) and the team has really struggled this season. There have been issues along the way with player recruitment and coaching but you can’t fault the effort of the players and they were always happy to spend time with supporters.

Despite Netball Vics statements today, there will be popping of Prosecco corks amongst some of the netball mafia.

And Netball Australia is amateur hour. Keeps on banging on about SSN being the best comp in the world but ANZ Championship (NZ) and Vitality League (UK) are better. How can the best comp in the world still have no CPA for next year with only 4 weeks of the regular season to go?

I did laugh though at the people on Facebook claiming the club was anti women. AFLW and VFLW anyone? If all these people had bothered to come to games there may still be a team. Morons.

Within the next 48hrs I expect to hear Caro calling loudly for Geelong or Richmond take up the licence due to the tens of millions in government funding they have received for their training base.

Folks here have a bit of a Caro obsession.

She's pretty pro-McFly-Collingwood. ("They look unbeatable"... the week before we lost.)

And she was very pro-Buckley.

Her relationship with Eddie was "complicated".
