We had numbers back anyway, they wouldn’t have even got a score from it. And we might have scored quickly after it. Coulda shoulda woulda, they had some chances but honestly we were the best team on the day and deserved winners.

And not to mention lions playing for frees, throwing their heads back and arms out when there was no high contact. Hipwood got a free for it but thankfully missed. Shocking umpire decision. Blatant holding the ball in the last qtr, two umps looked at each other expecting the other to call it but neither did and ball up. Fuvk brisbane

Oh and the head high against Cox when the lion put their head down and deliberately ran into him

PREMIERS!!! What a day at the G. Walking the streets high fiving everyone.
Just the best day. One I will never forget. Daisy Thomas came into the box in the final siren, high fiving and hugging him. Just the best memories that I will never forget.
Watching the replay now!
The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after.

I know this flag is all about the players, it always is but I can’t help but think the coaching group were the difference in this finals campaign.
We hadn’t beaten this mob for a couple years, we couldn’t kick over 60 points to win finals and the Lions rocked up with one of the most potent forward lines in recent history. Then there’s the personnel changes two weeks out. We lose Adams and McStay and then Murphy early in the game. To turn all that around and kick 90 points on the day and get it done is further testament to just how good this coaching group and sports science team really is.
Congratulations to Fly and his pit crew, Graham Wright, the mastermind, Derek Hine and his recruiting team, Jacqui Louder and Jarod Wade and his fitness team. You are officially the best in the business !

Looking forward to MacRae (the player), Allen, Harrison and others coming through. Hopefully Pendels and Steele have to be content with 3-4 premierships.
Anyone else have the game on constant loop?
So many beautiful moments:
Mcreery consoling Murphy on the boundary line
Cox getting emotional post game
Markov’s joy at his journey
Man I love this club

And you know what else?

Those salty other club supporters who used to hammer us about 2 flags in 50 odd years, can go & get fk’ed.

We’ve now won 3 flags since 1990, that’s 3 flags in 33yrs.

Yeah my dad born in 1909 saw his last flag in '58 - died young to that horrific killer in those days asthma.

I was 4yo in '58 so my first was '90.

Our record stacks up well in the AFL era.

Only Hawthorn 5, Geelong 4 and West Coast 4 have won more than us in this same period of time. We're level with Brisbane and Richmond on 3 in this era.

We won the flag, but lost a daughter of Collingwood a few hours after the game. My mum, born in 1931 in Collingwood, at the height of the depression, held on for dear life, but passed away earlier this morning. This Premiership will forever be cherished as my mum's flag.

Collingwood forever, forever Collingwood.
Collingwood is a special bond indeed. Condolences, mate. Thoughts are with you.
Condolences Rudey.
