Love ya work, mate ! :D

I really enjoy reading well presented posts, with relevant numbers - as opposed to second hand bolded drivel, repeated ad nauseam, where the poster seems to work on the 'Trumpism' theory. ie. (sic) 'repeat a lie often enough, it becomes the truth'.

Happy New Year to all cricket lovers. :D
Donny.

It's a game. Enjoy it. :D

Thanks, Donny. HNY to you, too.

Just think - it you had an entire batting 11 of "bunnies" like Smith facing India with Jadeja, your team would make, on average, 589 and a bit every time it batted.

Food for thought - and a good basis for reflecting on theories about alleged "bunnies".

Another example of an actual "bunny", by the way, is Babar Azam against Hazlewood. So far, he has played in 9 Tests against Australia with Hazlewood in the team. He has had 15 completed innings. Hazlewood has dismissed him 7 times in 9 Tests. Specifically against Hazlewood, Babar's record is 166 balls faced, 7 wickets for 82.

Unsurprisingly, Babar's average against Australia when Hazlewood is playing is just 26.53, whereas his Test average overall is 46.45. Looking even closer at it, Starc and Lyon don't trouble him, much - he averages 50 or better against both of them - but he averages 14 against Hazlewood and goes even worse against Cummins (average of 7.5). Because Hazlewood has so much success against him, Cummins doesn't get to bowl to him much, so he has only dismissed him twice.

SA bowled out for 55 in 23.2 overs. SA’s lowest total since 1932, apparently. Siraj took 6/15.

India were crusing at 4/153 after 33 overs. Then, hilarity struck - Ngidi's next over went W0W0W0, then Rabada bowled the following over 0W0W(runout)W. So in the space of 11 balls, India lost 6 wickets for 0 runs and crashed from 4/153 to 153 all out.

That's 20 wickets in the day, so far. India lead by 98, despite 6 ducks (Jaiswal, Iyer, Jadeja, Bumrah, Siraj and Krishna) and a 0 not out in the innings.

South Africa reached 3/62 at Stumps. 23 wickets in the day.

Well, as one comment on Cricinfo had it, when Soutn Africa won the toss and elected to bat, they would have been thrilled to be only 3 wickets down at the end of the first day's play.

India won by 7 wickets, chasing a target of 80. Markram made a fantastic century - his 106 (from just 103 balls) was the only score over 50 by either side in the match.

If they need a neutral venue with a pitch that's closer to international standard than that one, they are free to use my backyard, anytime.
