Thanks for that and I reckon it sounds right.
So our man Sargent Schultz needs to show the pre season expectation that he is an absolute gun in the actual games. There’s your challenge Sargent.

With Lachie and Bobby as prolific scoring forwards abley assisted by Jamie & Beau will we be less reliant on our talls ????

^ means nothing unless you get targeted delivery from outside the 50, hence efficient marking talls are essential in the structural mix. Otherwise, the best backlines will simply pick you off.
Having the likes of Jaicos, Lipinski, Naicos, Pendlebury and Sidebottom delivering the ball to our forwards ideally covers this aspect.
Having McStay to work in tandem with Mihocek would have been a real boon to our forward line potency.

In relation to our smalls, 30+ goal scoring small forwards need approx. 70 marks to deliver that sort of scoring output.
You can't rely on crumbing alone. On this front Bobby is our version of Eddie Betts.
Schultz looms as our Papley / Didak and Elliott is our Charlie Cameron / Cyril Rioli, both 70+ marking targets and comparable goal outputs.
Schultz hauled in 100 marks last season, as did Elliott. Elite for a 178cm forwards.

It's going to be good to watch, start getting excited.

Got a kick in the calf at training. Nothing major and is expected to be back against North.

His teammates seem to have settled for Shooter (not sure if that's new or carried over).
This may have been posted somewhere, but he has struck me as a real quality lad in the few times I've heard him speak. Some great affirmation from Scott Selwood here, who himself impresses with quality insight.

This is a club that values others, which is why when people speak, whether players or coaches, they're incredibly humble and give the audience serious respect and value. That's something I rate highly in organisations.

Also noted is that Tom Mitchell is such a leading voice in terms of standards and fraternity at the club. It's fantastic to see him come somewhere he's valued, and give so much value in turn.

Drink this golden era up, folks. It's as good as organisations get. Of course, that doesn't guarantee success, but it is a necessary condition for success.

While GWS have a more than handy backline, imagine how much our supporters will be up and about if we get the 4 points, and he kicks a handful.
Outside of Bobby and Jamie, he looms as the small forward that can deliver us an average of 2 goals a game over 2024 - Charlie Cameron level.
He's very much in the mould of Jamie Elliott with perhaps more defensive attributes to go with his goal sense.

How many for Shooter this weekend?

Also, a rumour going around this will be soon renamed 'Schultz'.

Send him back to the VFL and see if he knows what a footy looks like. I'd say Freo saw us coming and realised this was their chance to get back at us for the Paul Medhurst trade.

I would have subbed him off tonight. I know Fin was the easy target but between McInnes and Schultz we got nothing so 1 of them had to be subbed.

Fin needs to be given some confidence and I thought it was a chance for Fly to say hey stay on and see if you can lift.
