This was on the cards as soon as Collingwood FC became Collingwood Pty Ltd and became focused only on profit

OMG, talk about rusty. Willing things to jell, but the lack of touch is a highlight.

Fly lost 3 out of the first 4 in his first year, looks like he will need to start all over again.

I really think we are going to struggle to maintain the intensity and desire of last year (and the year before).
I also think that last year, the Footy Gods were on our side and we were quite lucky.

Craig McRae has done an amazing job since 2022 and will be tested this year. I really wish him and the club well.

It's a long, tough season and we need to be patient....

We had a lot of Lady Luck last year. You don't win all those close games without everything going right in the moment. But once she deserts you and takes up with Carlton (they have won their last six by less than a goal), you know you are stuffed.

We just overestimated our skill set last season. Close wins covered a multitude of sins. Remember that in the second half of the year we lost our form until we managed to claw our way to wins in the finals. Congrats for that effort, but effort won't win back to back flags. Only great sides do that. This year all eyes are on us and we have crapped our pants. Hard to see what we can do to add some shine to our already tarnished Premiership.

Some really hard words need to be spoken in the rooms after the game tonight.

The thing is Noble will ALWAYS give you 100% even though he is undersized. That's more than you can say for 3/4 of our side tonight. McCreery went missing again I see.

Well done Jamie Elliott, been a rough night. 2.0 goals serviceable when it has barely come cleanly into the forward line.

How is it a tarnished Premiership?? Honestly, you should think before you post. The Premiership last year will stand as a testament to the courage, determination and skill of a wonderful team.
What happens this year will never detract from the glory and the heroism of the 2023 flag.
