Re: Trade Targets ~ Free Agency & MSD player discussion
Justin Leppitsch expressed confidence in getting Houston across.
“There is lots to play out with him and Port Adelaide … Gold Coast may be involved in that. There’s a lot to play out.
Leppitsch confirmed the Pies were in talks with the Suns for Pick 13 and hoping to “get a result,” while the 2023 premiers are also open to taking the selection to the draft.

Interesting that he didn't mention Lord when talking about their future forward line.

^ it will either happen late in trade week (see 15 mins to go) or Port have flatly said he is off the table.

Any chance we could cut Geebungs grass with Bailey Smith and setup a last minute package to entice both Bulldogs and player? Kinda reminds me of when Judd named the Pies but the WC said yeah nah...

Not a bad scheme . I don’t remember WC saying no as such but I do remember Pratt unloading a truck full of money into huge brown paper bags and delivering them to Judd’s doorstep! Done deal after that

If we can still manage to get 13 from Suns, and Houston falls through, we could trump Geelong for Smith?

I get the impression he might be a real bell end?Take_a_Screamer wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 1:44 pm He has not been linked to us but interesting...
Carlton small forward Matt Owies who kicked 33 goals cannot find suitors

Good thing is it doesn't appear he'll loom as an impediment / trump card to our trade negotiations.

Re: Trade Targets ~ Free Agency & MSD player discussion
Red flag with a player no one is interested in. North only took Stevo because Gubby called in some favours. You can read between the lines when a seemingly skilled player gets shown the exit door and other clubs aren’t waiting outside to pick him up.

Hope not major drug users should not be a target
Anyway Handbaggers have been into him for more than 12 months if he came to us it would be a total mercenary reason.
Asking other player to exercise financial restraint to aim for a GF and then do that would not go over well
