Leppa saying on Trade Radio we're finished with trades.
Membrey to do a medical and a possible DFA signing.

BigFooty rumour. Highly doubt it has any substance. The Black and White Lion wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2024 12:32 pmWhere are you hearing this @Dave The Man ?

The Hill rumour is old, he squashed that a month ago himself. Leppa saying we’re done
Re: Trade Targets ~ Free Agency & MSD player discussion
I'd be surprised if we use all three picks on the night and sign 2-3 DFAs. Pressure will really be on for Bytell, Sullivan, Long and co if that eventuates.

Magpies list boss Leppitsch rules out Robertson (NO) pursuit .
Comments on Membrey (MAYBE) and Tomlinson (MAYBE) interest
Comments on Membrey (MAYBE) and Tomlinson (MAYBE) interest
- "While the Pies have been linked to Brisbane’s Deven Robertson, Leppitsch says that they won’t be trading for the midfielder now that the Houston deal was put through."
- On St Kilda forward Tim Membrey. “It’s a possibility, we’re talking with Tim now. “We’re going to take him through a medical and those sorts of things. “But we do have a spot for some experience on our list and he’s in the conversation for that.”
- On Melbourne defender Adam Tomlinson. “He’s in that mix because we want some experience in that final (list) position. “We’ll meet on that tomorrow and make some decisions with which way we want to go on that.”

Re: Trade Targets ~ Free Agency & MSD player discussion
Let the good times roll.
I'm not disappointed that we didnt go after Robertson or Kennedy, but I wouldn't have said no if there was an option to bring either in. I'll get behind Ash and Fin in the hope they can really show something in 2025, but I feel like they'll feel the pressure going into the final year of their current contract.
As far as the picks, well I did have some hope of getting one of the three players I've circled. But now we'd need a massive slide for that to happen. Still, I will look into who may be around at those picks and look forward to draft night.
I'm thrilled to get Houston after obtaining Perryman. Those 2 guys are going to be incredible inclusions to an already good team and there's no reason to think we are not in contention for the premiership again. I'm also feeling like some pressure will be taken off IQ and that he can get back to his best again.
I'll also look forward to see which way we go with the DFA market. Sadly, this will lead to certain players being delisted, but I also feel like the three guys we've been linked to are more important to our team structure and fill more vital roles in key position areas.
This is a good time for us.

If we grab Membrey as a DFA I will be happy. It not only adds to the ink in our forward line, it adds another versatile tall player.

Update from Membrey's manager:

Only way he gets to the Pies is a DFA.Jezza wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2024 3:33 pm Update from Membrey's manager:

Adding to the notion that Membrey will be a good addition. Not a superstar by any stretch but lead up forward, straight at the ball will add nicely to Mcstay who is basically a new recruit, Checkers back as well. Forward line is looking better.
Best 23 will be interesting..

Stringer to GWS has fallen over. Essendon cant offload this guy. Looks like he'll be forced to play for Essendon in 2025.

^ I don't think the two clubs have spoken since the Swans ignored the first offer.

7:30pm seems an odd time to close. That's well after the nightly news broadcasts.
