Nick's has just turned 29 - big year next year! The 11 year old who started Nick's Collingwood Page had his 40th in September (same birthday as Gavin Brown) and is now a psychologist who actually gardens for a living and loves it. I was mid 40s when Nick started his site so I've grown old (don't feel any older) while the site has evolved over that time. Nick's has watched many of its users who were youngsters when they joined grow, mature, build careers and create families, in fact it makes you wonder if our membership is now multi-generational. Collingwood has two active supporter sites that are over 25 years old, this one and Extreme Black 'n' White which was started by Hotrod not long after Nick's started. I don't think there are any other AFL sites (official or unofficial) that have been continuously active for that long and the Pies have two. Both sites have received 'Outstanding Contribution' awards from the Club.

Unfortunately growing old means less work and less money which meant that the site was in danger so we took the big step and introduced advertising this year and that and the many generous donations from nicksters has assured the future of the site indefinitely. I always vowed that we would never allow advertising, but needs must and it's the better of the two evils.

It is amazing Mike, some sort of symmetry going on here. My son turned 40 a couple of weeks ago, he also is a phycologist, incidentally left school and did horticulture. He put me on to Nick's so many years ago. He was an early member on Nick's, think he prefers the dark web now!!!!

Keep up the great work.

A big thank you to Mike and everyone behind the scenes for maintaining Nick's over the years. Been a great outlet to discuss all things Collingwood.
