M8, if he bowls garbage it would take a darn sight more than 15,000 Taswegians to turn him into a match-winner!

I still think the person that won the game for Australia was Ian Blackwell for England. England were crusing to victory until Blackwell came in and hogged the strike and looked totally at sea. All he seemed capable of doing was a sweep shot. Prior to him hogging the strike Trescothick was playing great and England were miles in front. Blackwell caused unnecessary pressure on the rest of the England batting line up.
Hopefully Hussain or Stweart or the coach has a word to him and explains the basics to the poor boy.

M8, have you considered the Aussie bowling that Blackwell faced? After all, he's not a frontline batsman and what the hell was he doing out there anyway?!
After the opening stand, England were in a position to cruise to a win. They had absolutely no reason to use Blackwell where they did. The Aussies capitalised on a mistake.

Personally i wouldnt have used the pinch hitter option as there was no need. I agree with you there.
However the fact is he was sent out there and i cant believe they didn't give him clear instructions. Alternatively the trainer could have come on ground and given Blackwell a pep talk. Even Trescothick could have had a word to him at the end of over or something.

The point is no matter what instructions he was given, he still had to be able to carry them out. If Hussain was any leader at all he would've been out there at the fall of the first wicket.
And what about his two recent centurians, Shah and Collingwood?? Or Stewart? Or Irani?! Hussain had 5 capable batsmen to use and he sends out Blackwell!! Crazy.
At least when 'Billy' McDermott was asked to do that job for Australia, he'd hit boundaries or get out trying!!

Well well well.......very interesting news in today in relation to the World Cup:
OUT WATSON
IN IAN HARVEY
Heres something from Donny:
JLC. We all know you don't like Watson and Symonds being in the WC squad. It's a bit tedious to keep reading it, m8.
They've been selected and they're going to the World Cup. Good on 'em! Congratulations to the 15 chosen to represent their country!
Lucky i didnt give up hope on who should have been in the World Cup Squad!!!
Looks like Bevan is out injured as well. I guess thats what happens when you bat like a snail for games on end then all of a sudden attempt a quick single His hamstrings musn't be used to this....lol Logically you would think that Maher will take his spot in the side. However i dont think Maher is good enough so i think Michael Clarke may slot right into the team.
That only leave Symonds to be dumped or dropped.
I think i have rediscovered my soft spot for Australia

Shane Watson is out of the World Cup because of a back injury. His place has been taken by Ian Harvey.
Michael Bevan is now also under a cloud after being carried from the ground in the second VB series final.
Interesting developments, eh JLC? Harvey in for Watson, Michael Clarke in for Bevo?
Hey, we only need Symmo to smash the dressing room window and yell out, "White ****s!!" and get suspended and then get replaced by Tugga Waugh and we might have you back as an Aussie supporter! Lol.
